Recipe

Meat, offal, fish, eggs, dairy, vegetables, grains, fats: 79 ingredients from the USDA database with per-100 g values. Raw and cooked modes with cooking losses.

Energy, Ca:P, protein and fat at a glance. Full table of nutrients with a bar to the norm and a status for each row.

Supplements

Balancer choice, target Ca:P, dose per batch and per kilogram. A list of what is still below the norm after the dose.

Portions and labels

Each dog's requirement, batch split into bags, a label with the name, the weight in large type and the supplement dose from that batch. 810 g and 1,170 g look the same once frozen. Every dog in your list eats from the same batch — portions and supply are counted for the whole list.

For those who have fed raw for years

Full table of nutrients against the NRC 2006 norm, values per 1000 kcal ME, cooking losses per USDA, backup to a file. You count phosphorus — you get phosphorus.

For those just starting

Every deviation says what the norm is, how much is missing and which ingredients in the recipe it comes from. The app tells you how long a batch lasts and how much to cook for a chosen number of days.

Veterinarians

Nutrition profiles under clinic supervision - planned

PetMeal calculates and displays norms. It does not diagnose, treat or issue recommendations. In preparation, not in this version: a nutrition profile prepared by a clinic - the chosen norm, target ranges and notes the owner would see next to the balance.

Planned cooperation covers shared profiles, material for owners and a channel for reporting issues in the ingredient database.

  • Planned: profile signed with the clinic name, visible with every balance.
  • Planned: balance export to PDF for a follow-up visit.
  • Planned: no access to owner data - the profile as a file the owner imports themselves.
